Monterey Council on Aging
Minutes August 26, 2015
The meeting was opened at 10 am. Present were M. Brown, R. Champigny, L. Hebert, K. Purcell and J. Rodriguez. The minutes of August 12th were accepted.
Community concerns were discussed including reports of individual needs, available resources, coordination between services, responsibilities. Council members will continue research on the many suggestions.
Events --- Health Fair J. Rodriguez reported on the program participants: CHP, safety, etc. Banners and signs have been ordered. Notice will be placed in the “Monterey News”. Information on the File of Life refrigerator magnet made available. --- Erie Canal trip is almost full; awaiting last checks.
Planning --- Information on estate planning with a speaker --- Use “Shoppers Guide” for outreach --- Consider a class on genealogy
The meeting was adjourned at 11:10 am.
